Berlin Part 2/3

Oh yeah, we also found this store called Who Killed Bambi... Yeah, no comment there.
So, the picture to the right is the entrance to the concentration camp at Sachsenhausen. It was eerily familiar to Dachau for me which I visited two years ago. My brother commented on how it wasn't what he expected. They didn't focus on the killings at all, but more on the life and how things worked. And, really, this place is depressing enough. It's supposed to be a somber memory of a horrible incident, I don't think focusing on the killings helps. Rather, seeing that
people lived here and had to make the best of their lives. The picture to the left is the infamous quote "Arbeit macht frei" which means that work liberates... The farce under which the concentration camp was established.

So, after the concentration camp, we headed over to Mauerpark (Wall Park) which is an abandoned field turned into a fun park with karaoke every sunday and lots of food and merchandise vendors. Overall, it's pretty great. It was a hella fun experience and a good last experience in Berlin :)
